In the curriculum, why are there two flash card sessions but only one multisensory session?

There are two flash card sessions because one flashes words, while the other flashes pictures. You can teach your child to read by flashing words alone, but by flashing pictures you reinforce the meanings of words taught during the multisensory segment.

Although it looks as though there is more flash card teaching than multisensory teaching, it is actually the other way around. Each flash lesson takes under a minute, while the multisensory segment will take around 5 minutes – or however long you want to spend on it.
