Playlists, Categories and Courses are the three lesson types you will use to teach your child, but what's the difference between them?
What are Playlists?
Playlists are selections of custom-ordered Categories and words. Playlists can be created from Categories or words and given a specific order of playback you want. The playback settings are usually pre-set, and playing Playlists will evoke certain saved settings whenever you play them.
What are Categories?
Categories are word groups that you have organized for your child - perhaps with a common theme, lesson or phonic you want to teach. You can also create new Categories, or download Categories that other users have created. When you export a category file, you will end up creating a package full of words, images, and other media that you can import or swap with other parents later on.
What are Courses?
Courses are where you can find the curriculum lessons contained in the Little Reader Learning System, organized into Semester 1 or Semester 2 folders. These semesters contain pre-made presentations, each with recommended settings, so all you need to do is click the Play or Play Next Lesson button to provide your child with a fully engaging learning experience!
