Error: Unable to login to BrillKids server when Importing License Key

There are a couple of possible reasons why you are seeing this error:

  1. You are not connected to the internet
  2. The BrillKids account you are signing in with is not the account which owns the license key you are trying to use
  3. Your antivirus or firewall is blocking the connection between your computer and our server

 

You are Not Connected to the Internet

Before you try importing your license key, make sure that your computer is connected to the internet. The reason why an internet connection is needed is because your Little Reader needs to connect with our server to verify that your license key has a blank activation slot. It is also during this time that our server verifies that this license key is trying to be activated by the correct BrillKids Member account which owns it.

 

The BrillKids account you are signing in with is not the account which owns the license key you are trying to use

Some people, when they are told that their license key can be activated on one computer, may think that they can pass on their license key to someone else. This is not recommended, because it undermines the security of your license key and our verification systems which protect our users from piracy.

In the case where you are trying to use a license key owned by someone else, you will not be able to use this license key to activate your installation of Little Reader unless you use that person's email and password to sign in and verify this license key.

 

Your antivirus or firewall is blocking the connection between your computer and our server

In the case where you are still not able to activate your license key, try to temporarily turn off your antivirus and/or firewall before you try to activate your license key.
