You can start using Little Math from when your child is six months old. However, do not expect your child do show any knowledge of numbers and math concepts until at least 9 to 12 months of age.

Some children may take even longer than this to show any knowledge of math. Remember that every child develops at her own pace. The primary goal of teaching should be to stimulate your child's brain – and have fun while doing it! As long as you are both enjoying yourselves, your Little Math lessons are already a success.
