How to Repair your BrillKids Learning System

Sometimes your software problem can be quickly resolved by doing a Repair of your BrillKids Learning System by doing the following:

 

For Windows XP

  • From your Start menu, open your Control Panel.
  • Go to Add or Remove Programs.
  • Find and select your "BrillKids Little Reader / Little Math / Little Musician" then click on the Remove button.
  • In the InstallShield Wizard that opens, click Next, then choose Repair.
  • When asked if you want to Replace current Media Library with default Media Library:

- Check the box if you want to repair your software AND roll it back to its original content (this means any content you have added or created will be deleted permanently).

- Leave the box unchecked if you want to repair your software without doing anything to your content.

  • Click Next to start the repair process.

 

For Windows Vista, Windows 7 & Windows 8 / 8.1

  • From your Start menu, open your Control Panel.
  • Under Programs, choose Programs and Features.
  • Find and select "BrillKids Little Reader / Little Math / Little Musician" then click on the Change or Uninstall button.
  • In the InstallShield Wizard that opens, click Next, then choose Repair.
  • When asked if you want to Replace current Media Library with default Media Library:

- Check the box if you want to repair your software AND roll it back to its original content (this means any content you have added or created will be deleted permanently).

- Leave the box unchecked if you want to repair your software without doing anything to your content.

  • Click Next to start the Repair process.

 

For Windows 10

  • From your Start menu, open Settings, then go to System.
  • From the left-hand menu, click on Apps & Features.
  • Find and select "BrillKids Little Reader / Little Math / Little Musician" (or use the "Type an app name..." search box) then click on the Uninstall button. When asked to confirm, click Uninstall.
  • In the Setup Wizard that opens, click Next, then choose Repair.
  • When asked if you want to Replace current Media Library with default Media Library:

- Check the box if you want to repair your software AND roll it back to its original content (this means any lessons you have added or created will be deleted permanently).

- Leave the box unchecked if you want to repair your software without doing anything to your lesson content.

  • Click Repair to start the Repair process.

 

Once the repair process is finished, open your BrillKids software and see if the problem was fixed. If you are still having problems, you might want to try Repairing your Microsoft .NET Framework, or send a Diagnostic Report to the BrillKids Team for further troubleshooting.
