Error: Just-In-Time Debugging (or JIT debugger)

If you are getting an error like "JIT debugger" or "Just-In-Time Debugging" whenever you open or use Little Reader, Little Math or Little Musician, do note that such errors are coming from your Internet Explorer (IE) browser, and not from your BrillKids software.

As you may know there are some web panels inside your BrillKids software like the Start Guide window and the Download and Forum screens, and those web panels utilize the Internet Explorer browser that's installed in your computer - even if you are not using IE as your default browser.

To fix the "Just-In-Time Debugging" error, do the following:

  1. Update to the latest version of Internet Explorer. You can download it from here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/download-ie
NOTE: If you're already using the latest version of Internet Explorer for your computer, you can skip to Step 2.
  2. Disable script debugging in Internet Explorer's Internet Options:
    • Open Internet Explorer and go to Tools > Internet Options

    • In the Internet Options window, go to the Advanced tab
    • Scroll through the list of settings and under "Browsing," tick the box beside Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other)
      jitdebug-02.jpg
    • Click Apply, then OK
  3. Open or restart your BrillKids software and confirm if you no longer see the error message.

In case you are still getting errors, write to BrillKids Support with your diagnostic report attached.
